Overview of Services

Training Fund classes can be offered at the Fund’s Breslin Learning Center in Center City Philadelphia or at contributing employers’ worksites. Employers can request on-site training in any of the Fund’s existing programs, or work with the Fund to design new, customized training to meet their specific workforce needs –all at no cost to our contributing employers.

The Training Fund offers a wide variety of classes – from academic and computer classes to technical training/certification programs and soft skills refresher courses – all developed with input from the Fund’s employer partners, to ensure that participating members develop the skills they need to succeed in 21st century healthcare workplaces.

Each year, more than a thousand District 1199C members participate in Training Fund classes, while another thousand take advantage of tuition reimbursement benefits to continue their education.
