Summer school (or summer university) is a school, or a program generally sponsored by a school or a school district, or provided by a private company, that provides lessons and activities during the summer vacation

 

Most of the Summer Programs are the same as the Youth Programs.

  • Summer WorkReady Program
    In School Program

    8th & 12th Grades

    A dynamic, interactive 6-week program offering academic, work readiness and life skills classes, exposure to health career and college options, field trips, and project-based learning and work experience.

    A Service Learning Project is also created and implemented by the students.

  • Summer Youth Career Exposure Program
    Are you a rising 8th grader? Are you interested in a career in Philly's largest industry?

    Come participate in a SIX WEEK dynamic summer program!

    PROGRAM INCLUDES

    • Paid work experience

    • Exposure to careers in healthcare

    • Guest speakers

    • Field trips

    • Creation of a service learning project

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

    • Philadelphia residents only

    • Must successfully complete application

    • Students entering the 8th grade – ages 13-15
