Nurse and Home Health Aide

Nurse Aide Program

Nurse Aides (NAs) provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. The Training Fund’s 152-hour (16 week) tuition-based Nurse Aide training program provides classroom instruction, laboratory experience, clinical training and CPR certification. Graduates are eligible to take the American Red Cross state competency examination and to be placed on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.

If you are between the ages of 17-24, FREE Nurse Aide and/or Home Health Aide training opportunities may be available! Participants in Youth Nurse Aide Occupational Training must be Philadelphia residents with either a high school diploma or GED. Visit Youth Programs for more information! 

Home Health Aide Program

Home Health Aides (HHAs) provide routine individualized care in patients’ homes or care facilities. The Training Fund’s 88-hour, part-time HHA certificate program prepares graduates for employment in the growing homecare industry.
