As a result of changes in healthcare delivery, healthcare employment is moving out of institutional settings and into the community. This process is increasing demand for workers trained to provide residential and community-based care at all levels.
Community Health Worker Program
This 150-hour program prepares students to work as Community Health Workers (CHWs) proving services and support to enhance the physical health of patients suffering from chronic illness. CHWs motivate clients to engage in activities that will promote their physical well-being. Graduates are employed in physician practices and community-based health centers.
